Hawthornden Fellowship 2009
Jacqueline was awarded a Hawthornden Fellowship and spent four weeks at Hawthornden Castle in Lasswade (just outside Edinburgh), Scotland in January and February 2009.
The fellowship was established 1982 to provide a peaceful setting where published writers can work without disturbance. The Retreat houses five writers at a time (known as Hawthornden Fellows) from any part of the world. Previous winners include: Les Murray, Alasdair Gray, Helen Vendler, Olive Senior, Hilary Spurling.
