Brittle Star In 2002 Jo Homan invited Jacqueline and poet Louisa Hooper to join the editorial team of Brittle Star, a literary magazine for new writers. When Jo left in 2004 to have her first baby, Jacqueline and Louisa invited three other editors to join the magazine; David Floyd, Martin Parker and Tina Tse. Jacqueline has interviewed Mimi Khalvati, Jeremy Hooker, Myra Schneider and Sharon Morris for the magazine. "Brittle Star is a 'little' magazine which, for its size, contains a surprising variety of new work: poems, stories, interviews. What I especially like about it is that it enables 'new' writers to hear their own, and each others', voices. The life of poetry depends ultimately upon the existence of such magazines, and the commitment and enthusiasm of their editors." Jeremy Hooker >> articles |
